    Default Cotswold Rods! Help?!

Okay I recently ordered a set of their new Pace range, I was told they had been dispatched on last Wednesday yet they have still failed to turn up. I know that Tom is very busy however the level of customer service I feel is not up to scratch. I have tried ringing and emailing since Friday no reply. What is best to do next? I know some of the guys from CR read this forum so just wanting some clarity.

    Cheers

All I can say mate, is its worth the wait. I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago.
Tom will get back to you and get your rods to you as soon as he can.

Yeah I know mate. The only thing that worries me is that he told me they were dispatched. UPS doesn't take 4-5 days to deliver.

I just don't understand all this "they're overwhelmed with orders" being used as an excuse for poor service.
All business's have to decide whether they can take on more orders/contracts and maintain they're standards of quality and service.
Every example of Cotswolds work looks spot on but then so does that of Mark Tunley, Vic Gibson and Chris Orme to name a few and I've never heard people moaning about the service received from those three.
I've run a small business for many years and at times have turned as much work away as I've taken on, it's not nice to do but better than taking work on and then letting people down.

No excuse for customer service no matter how many orders there are.

I had exactly the same experience with Cotswold rods.

Advised my rods had been shipped, given a date of arrival for the courier, after many texts, calls and emails i hasten to add. I waited in for them to be delivered - nothing. Sat in for three days waiting for those rods.

All of my messages over that period were ignored.

Three weeks later, and several text messages and phones calls, and apparently the courier still had them at the depot for some unknown reason. Hmmm.

Great rods, but worth the hassle, torment and annoyance - i don't think so.

It was The end of March when they finally arrived - I ordered in October. So much for the 8 week build schedule.

    Obviously things haven't changed.

    I paid upfront too.

Not a witch hunt at all, was merely asking for advice. What I was doing before was not resolving the issue. I spent a lot of money on these rods. I feel I have the right to know why they haven't turned up 4 days after they should have done.

Conflict asides. Tom resolved the issue and if the rods live up to the hype that has been given to them. Then I shall most definitely be using Cotswold Rods again.

I doubt it to be be hype, or at least would hope its not merely that.
