as now a observer from afar (ie no longer a member) i cant help feeling sad the direction that this club and the waters seem to be heading.

Agree completely. They have gone from being one of the best if not the best (based on what you got for your money) to basically a joke. Such a shame but maybe it's time some people stepped down and let someone else have a go

Right, this is third hand and I can't substantiate anything at the moment but Mid Kent Fisheries as was is dead. The waters are to be grouped and "syndicated", strong rumours of substantial price increases. Some lakes, possibly Stour to be sold off, strong rumours of fish being moved as well. This is not "gospel" but the rumours originate from an informed source. No doubt more will emerge shortly.

And a lot has been refuted by Chris Logsden (jnr) in writing on MKF Forum. Though he has stated that the structure of tiers are to be changed and Stour is not for sale/sold ..... though info on Loggies complex seems sketchy & may possibly of been (no great loss imo)

Such a shame that the club will inevitably fold or at the very least form splinter Syndicates and day ticket waters. Was easily the best value for money ticket in the surrounding areas for the sheer number of waters and specimen sized fish of all species in most of the lakes.

Frank the Plank a new share holder seems to have upset a few members already playing and fishing by his own rules and sadly Camo was relieved of duties as head Bailiff for 15 years due to a fall out. He couldn't even go on the forum to wish members and friends farewell as he's been blocked.

Rumours of the Loggies Complex having a burger van as well as RC Boating Championships coupled with the Sydication and presumably great spike in subs will see more than a few members walk I reckon.

It is indeed a huge shame and a great loss. I thought mkf provided a great ticket for the money and will be sadly missed. I loved fishing the weirpool at chilham for the massive perch and roach

Had a couple of nice years on there, enjoying some great tench and pike fishing on a variety of waters. Left a few years ago when they lost Chilham Mill, since when the trend has been more money for less fishing.

Found out today that MKF is indeed going down the MVAS route. Lakes are being split into individual syndicates, Lydd may be as much as 800, Swan and Tonford together 650, Pan 400, Stour 650, Loogies to be day ticket at 30 a night. Could'nt take any more in so not sure about the other waters.

800 for Lydd? Wasn't even one of their popular waters when I had a Tier 2 ticket some 5 years ago...

Those prices are extortionate, none of the Medway Valley fisheries are more than 400 a year.

Could not agree more Darran but, apparently, the market will suffer it by the amount of early interest. RTC ?
