Is it me or is this forum officially dead? Such a shame

All going the same way I am afraid.

Its like the UK in general to many people taking out and not enough putting in, IMHO
I understand ,its the likes of facebook killing the forums , I cannot see why people would think Facebook would be easier to use and interact with ,over Forums with neatly laid out Topic then sub topics
Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad
Shame as this used to be a great forum, I have met some good people from here over the years, fished with many of them on the Yately Bash and Bubbles do’s over the years.
Bought good bits of kit from people I never met or knew before using this site, all trustworthy fishing blokes, looking to sell to guys at a fair price.
Terrible to see how it’s going

Says it all
If the members keep posting it stays alive.
Pop ups hacking and stuff havent helped either
No input from the site owners doesnt help either
I think when the Porn bots took over a lot of people left the site
The lack of Admin input trying to resolve it did not help
All the forums are the same now slowly dying , we lost the Black forum a while ago , no idea as to the answer .
Im guessing Facebook is the Evil killer as I succumbed to joining a couple of months ago .

Unfortunately to use Facebook i have my privacy settings so high its not worth joining fishing topics, and to be honest I wouldn't trust Facebook with anything. Zuckerberg talks a good story about his privacy but doesn't protect the general public its all just talk!
Used to spend hours on here reading posts and topics, such a good laugh, its a shame its going this way now, can't say i help though as i visit now and again to see if things have improved. sign of the times
Been looking at a list of anglers who over a period of 20 years fished, on a regular basis, Burghfield Main Lake, Blue Pool and as was The Match Lake. I wonder if most are still fishing, I know some have passed away. My list contains 240 names along with permit numbers. Might publish the list sometime if there is room on site. Will have to wait and see. Don't let the Forum go like so many sites have done.

still here, popping in on occasion - hate the facebook machine.
Same, just in the hope that a couple of good threads will start a resurgence of interest
Such a shame, great place for banter, advise back in the day. Hopefully some things go full circle and this place comes back to life. But alas, like a lot of things all we have is the memories.
First time i have been able to log on !
No one wants to discuss things any more by looks of it.....all "likes" on faceache these days.
thank your mother for the rabbits...
rex hunt
Ads got so annoying for me I came on less and less.
Hate FB with a passion so I hope this place does soldier on and come back to glory one day.
I've spoken to and met some really good lads, enjoyed some hearty "Discussions" over the years and learned stuff on here that I didn't know I needed to know!

Not War...
it's not dead then.
All the secret groups on Facebook, and people unable to separate work and play - I guess it's up to us to keep this alive!? (if there is an admin reading... may be a sub to get rid of the ads and the virus'?)
Me, getting the bug back. Work's gone well, but need to do some "me time": Joined a club, couple of small syndicates. Renewed my Belgian and French national permits. Bought some new (old) Tournies. Had my 1992 KJB built 12ft 2.25' Armalites rebuilt, with new rings and cork. Thought about rejoining the BCSG. Bought some new string, I like that Shimano Technium Invisitec. Bought a new small freezer for bait, just gotta figure out what I want.
does seem like the mainstream carp world has gone like trout fishing in the 90's.
what's happening in your angling...? I do miss the carry-on on here.
