Sorry can't help but I'm using 13' 4lb kev Baines international's and they're amazing! Like a big armalite... bend to the butt ring but lob a 4.5oz lead 160 yards

I've been looking at these and others recently as a long range setup. Had the aviator TE in my hands today and had read that it was a beast but it doesn't feel that way to me, undoubtedly it's a powerful rod but it felt very refined not brutal like the old fmj or the Hi's 220. May be wrong but it felt more user friendly than the full on trebuchet. Problem is with rods of this type I think you really need to try them yourself to find what best suits you. I've currently got a set of 12ft6inch aviators being built for me but come the summer I will be trying the TE's and X5 myself.

If it’s long range then maybe look at the trebuchet light.

The treb lite feels softer than both the aviator TE and x5, think the only way to separate all these rods is to try them side by side on a court.
