    Default Bait screws

    Hi lads,

I prefer to use bait screws to attach my pop ups on chod type rigs etc and Iím a big fan of the thinking anglers plastic ones. But at £5 for a pack of 5 they are silly expensive.

I have looked at the thin metal ones that are all over but never used them as I think the bait will come off

Any one reccomend a good type for attaching hard popups?

    Cheers

I use the metal ones they are fine and baits don’t come off, I prefer the ones with the flexiring bit total taskle we’re doing the taska ones for about £2 a pack the other week as I bought a few packs. You can get the standard metal ones cheaper on eBay

Same here, i have used them all, and there is no difference in terms of the bait staying on. Go for the ones with a round ring on on ebay, cheap as chips and as good as any including the thinking anglers ( which are terrible for cork balls anyway) on any pop up.

They are good, it I've found the bank tackle ones to be exactly the same and a fraction of the price.

Bank tackle do loads of rig components at a fraction of the cost and it's all very good quality. Ive used their bait screws and as others have said I like to use the ones with the additional rings on for more movement and better bait / hook separation. Bank tackle are due to be releasing a bait screw attached to a micro ring swivel soon.
