    Default Helicopter rigs

Has anyone ever considered the lay of the rig when using one of these with braid on a tight line ? I am a bit paranoid that I could be lifting the rig up off the deck so its hanging down off the leadcore or mainline when tightening up if you get my drift ? Thoughts ?
They say that The Queens Dragoon Guards are the worlds most feared cavalry regiment, I tell them that they are right!!

I think it all depends on the distance you're fishing. Id feel confident that if fishing over 50 yds then the last few feet would be laying flat regardless how tight i had the line. Anything close in then i prob wouldn't use a heli-rig.

Depth of water and gradient are also worthy considerations

Never bothered anglers in early 90s...

Caught shedloads on the old CV helicopter rigs. Even caught a 32 under the rod tips on harefield on one !
