    Default Good weed line.

I fish a couple of pits that can become extremely weedy by mid summer but as it is where the fish are I'm gonna try embracing it and fish into it. I won't be doing this at any range, I would consider that too dangerous, however, I obviously want to get out what I hook. I was thinking Fox Exocet in either 20 or 23lb. I prefer a dark coloured line. Anything else I should be considering ?

Can you fish braided mainlines as that would be my first option, for abraision resistance and also to cut through some of the weed. fished a large lake with horrendous weed blooms years ago and this is what i did and used the cheapest braid i could get away with and reversing it, it lasted a whole season

Sadly, braid main line not allowed so it has to be mono. But thanks

I've found Korda subline or touchdown to be Decent,I've only used it in 15lb and found it to be pretty bomb proof, they also do it in 20lb but not used it
Catching carp is easy, its the time in between thats the hard part

Same, bullet proof and very user friendly. Comes in a dark and a light colour blend.

Always gone with a fluro when fishing heavy weed, still think its more durable than the monos. But with a tight line and a tight clutch

XM .40 it is. I'm already a huge fan of Pro Carp, I just hadn't thought about the XM. Obvious choice. Thanks
