Default Reels to balance 2.75lb AKN12H

Good afternoon and merry Christmas all.
After a bit of a lay off from fishing and with my 40th coming up. I thought Id treat myself to a new set of reels for my 2.75lb diawa AKN12Hs. Im looking for something that will balance them well. Most of my fishing has been close in upto 40 yards but Im looking at joining a lake soon that a lot of the angling has a bit of a chuck involved so a bit of an all round reel really. Id prefer a bait runner facility too. So any input would be appreciated
    Thanks in advance

If you want a period set of reels to go with the rods Ss3000/ 5000t or emblem 5000 with be perfect ! Otherwise 5500 ultegras would suit up to 100yds

    For Baitrunner as said above
All I want to do is do it ........ big girls big girls

I had some Tournie 5000t on mine and they felt nicely balanced.

Many reels wil fit the bill but go for daiwa 5000 size spool or a Shimmy 10000, 40ml rings and a Fuji 20mm reel seat will accomadate most big pits.

Personal preferance but as stated above a tourny 5000 or a SS3000/5000.

Would love to now if there is a rod out there that compares to an AKN12H?

**** all that nonsense, Shimano 5500 with the ci4 lightweight body. Done. Had 5000h baboons ss3000 and pimped 5000t and they were all **** on them. The little shimmy is light years ahead especially on a sub 3lb tc rod

those rods are capable of 200yards in the right hands ( I got 5 of em)

the reels I would choose would be Shimano Baitrunner X-Aero 10000 RA good for 150yards
