Thanks for that recommendation - he's either going to repair it,customise a pair if I can get another one touch handle from somewhere, Customise a newer handles OR make me a new pair of customs! He's a real nice guy who actually tried saving me money in the first instance BUT all his fees go to charity. The fact that he took the time during a 45 minute call to send me various links and pictures while explaining my options is enough, the fact that my costs go to charity is a bonus!

Anyone got an old Daiwa Regal X with one touch folding handle for spares/repairs? lol

Mike is an absolute gent and an incredibly generous man Floaters.

He did some wooden handles for me a while back as I only like local to him and I was there up in his shed chatting for about 2 hours while he did them (They didn't take that long). He's got time for everyone mate

This is the actual message I got regarding converting a handle so make your own mind up...

He spot on and certainly gets my vote - even tried saving me money to start with but as it's for a good charity, I have no issue regarding cost to a degree! Top man

Custom reels are the best at what he does imo. Proper bearings in the handle instead of just a push fit knob on the existing spindle. But it’s expensive.
