Its a bit more than that, perhaps 20%. From the sailing club fence round to the Marble Works.

Not sure how they can. The sailing club & Black Jacks are presumably out of bounds to anglers & beyond the granite works is the Arabs garden. There used to be swims in front of the granite works, when it was the gravel workings, but they were flooded when the sailing club, who own the lake, raised the water levels.

Would be great if they could get more bank.

I agree, when you’re actually there and see what’s what, it’s difficult to see how they can expand but, there was something written on the Uxbridge Rovers site, that said something like, because of their good relationship with the sailing club, they were looking into possibly gaining more access to bank space.

I hadn’t fished it for donkeys years but, last year i went, and got plotted up for a two night session, i’d not long cast the last rod out, when i got a phone call. It was a family emergency, and i had to pack up.
It’s still a great place for peace and quiet, once the boats have turned in, and i might have another crack at it.
