    I've caught some stunning Dutch carp in the UK but they are far more prettier in my opinion, those premium carp fishery carp are pig ugly if you ask me !

    I'm no expert on fisheries management but from what I can gather about Israeli carp is the health problems with KHV and upping the risk to this country. Probably someone with more knowledge can expand on this.

    Yeah but the Leneys were hatched over in Poland before the fingerlings were taken to Holland.

    My point is that Donald Leney bought his fish into this country because he considered them a 'better' strain of carp than those already present, so if someone legally brings small carp of a 'better' strain into the country where's the difference?

    Because I would say those Israeli carp from Kibbutz are not a 'better' strain, I think they have all been injected with the khv virus to make them immune or something along those lines.
