I take it this is a 'No'!

Shame as I was going to discuss Bitcoin Cash, since it started 2 days ago it's up from 180 to 600..
And no I didn't buy any, not many exchanges trading it... sigh

Been looking at CCs for a while and watching the buzz around mainly Bitcoin & made my first purchase last week but opted for Litecoin.

Any advice on wallets? I'm looking at either the Ledger nano S or the LoafWallet app as the more I read/research (& look to buy) the more I see the need to get them offline and "in my hand" as such.

Hi Ozzy, Sorry not been one here for ages.

I use a ledger nano s wallet - bought it before Segwit2X to get some free B2X coin but that's been cancelled! So haven't used it yet - i should do really though when i get round to it, too lazy....

I have bought and sold LTC and done alright so far, but mainly buying and selling other alts on bittrex, coinexchange and bitfinex. With the nano s you can mine some (or buy some) monero, eth, or stratum coins and hold them on the wallet and stake them but the wallet needs to be online 24 hours a day, i've not done this.

Have you mined yet? I only recently started with elecroneum

I'm waiting for a big retracement in BTC! Think it might happen over the next few days - as it's double topped and didnt really fly when B2X failed.

I've not tried mining yet, its something I've not really looked into to be honest as from a high level you need to buy an expensive mining rig and the ROI vary so much. I know you can pool mine which is what I believe the nano s does?

What are you expectations for BTC by the end of 2017? $10,000 cant be too far away?

1 BTC has risen just over 7 grand since I first posted this.... nuts.

I think it's impossible to call ozzy - if it hits 10K like it might in the day or so, it'll either dump 40/50% very quickly then bounce back over 10k, or just keep on this trend - on it's way to 20-30k. If it dumps then BCH might take it's spot or etherium, or even litecoin.

Mining Electroneum is really easy from most pc's, check their github and install the miner software and create the wallet and click 'go'. I've mined about 100 so far (CPU mining) which not worth much but can buy other alts with it or hold it all.

well bitcoin smashed $10,000 and LTC has passed $100 but both looked to have had a correction this afternoon & both now seem to be bouncing back slowly...

If more companies start to accept cypto as payment for services/goods then its hard to say what the value they will reach in the future, whether that is $100,000, 500,000 or $1,000,000s...

Just got to make sure you keep your ledger safe! (ordered 1 earlier this week as I dont fully trust the Loafwallet)

I'm under the impression a few major places (Bloomberg is potentially 1) may soon allow options & futures...

Even buying and selling can be stopped if a particular site is having too much traffic, bitcoin becomes easily congested with all of the transactions during these peaks and troughs and you can't do anything bar watch the price move.

Litecoin has had a very good 24hrs!

I get a message now while logging onto here that the site is trying to use my browser as a blockchain currency miner!

I got the same and my Avast anti virus removed something, i didnt pay much attention to it but it said something about bit coin mining.
I would advise you all to scan your devices for threats with your anti virus if youve logged on here today as someone is clearly taking the pi$$.

It isn't a virus, but a script/code within websites which then take a large chunk of your CPU to mine crpyto. I've heard about it but never been prompted to its use until logging on here today!

Guess a lot of 'free' hosting websites may use it to recoup some of the costs.
