Pro should handle it for a good few whacks. You need a nice soft line like Pro or HydroFlo, also from Gardner.
Softer, suppler lines can take the shock. Keep checking the line before you give it the biggun though, as after the 4th or 5th chuck any make of line could go on you.
I found 3.5oz would go further than 4oz or 5oz when really belted.
Hope this helps.

I put the Pro Clear on for a trip to France where it was all range work with a leader ban, it was good. Ultima F1 is another one to look at, decent, although it tends to stretch and pig-tail after landing a biggun (just the last few metres, can easily just take it off after each fish).
Sam - pro carp or pro clear?
Quite a heavy lead to chuck, what TC rods are you using?????
thank your mother for the rabbits...

I've done that almost every year with my balisters for the last 15 years as I use them to spod with and they happily out perform my Torrix.
Can cast a 5oz lead, (just a lead) over 170 yards with 13ft treb lights with 15lb technium black no leader.

Rods are Kev Baines Internationals - 13' 4lb test. Can lob a 6oz lead as far as it can lob a 4oz, Kev said 4.5oz the best weight for full on casts, although a full on cast with this rod isn't like a fast hand smash like you would a fast taper, more a progressive punch.
