I have a set of the 10ft 3lb rods and they are excellent for the money. Very similar looking to the Free Spirit lower end rods. Paired them with a set of 5500 Ultegras and they will soon be my number one front line small water setup.

    Well recommended in my opinion.

Slim enough to not look like fifty quid rods! Comparable to any other modern carbon blank and very similar to the CTX but without the weave.
They also do a nice range of specimen rods under the same banner. Surprised they aren't more popular.

I popped into the tackle box last weekend ad looked at them out of interest ad they looked decent and certainly did not look like a cheap 50 rod.

    Thumbs up

Did you end up getting these mate?

Only just seen this post so it may be too late but for what it's worth...

I've had a pair for 6 months or so and really can't recommend them highly enough for the money. They're pretty soft so don't expect to chuck any distance but for what I wanted they've been perfect. I use them primarily for small water fishing with braided mainlines and they're a joy to play fish on but have plenty of power in reserve should you need it.
The only problem I had was a tip ring coming loose mid session. I got a local tackle shop to glue it back on. It's been fine since, landed my first 40Lb common on that rod a couple of weeks later in fact.
