Used to really enjoy coming onto this site, a wealth of info and thoughtful idea's being shared.
Now I feel its being put away to rot, a great shame!

ps. it took the closing of 6 pop ups to write this message!!!

Yep - thread closing is within my remit - repairing the website is beyond my control!

We now have some 57,000 members but as I write this 11 users and 118 guests on line!

    And thereby hangs a tale!

273 users on line now of which 10 are members and 263 guests! Mostly non-anglers!

I downloaded an adblocker and I dont get any ads now just the bleat that the ads help to pay for the server for the forum. I would contribute to keep it ad free.

Only come here on my laptop, cant seem to get an ad blocker to work in Chrome on my Ipad.

Its a shame to see how this site has gone since the Cemex days, it was far more active then.

We've only just been notified there was an issue via Facebook and have put in a fix. The version of Vbulletin has a flaw which meant ad injection was placed into the system. I've disabled the top vBulletin ads block until we have sorted the plugin.

I've had all sorts of issues, regarding my old original account that i lost details too. Then i opened a new account but, had to keep asking admin or mods to activate it, without any success. After a good while the account was activated, then some time later, i had to change the email. This put the account into de-activated status.
So, again i asked the admin and mods to look into it, and it never got sorted, so i opened another account, and had to go through all of the activation process again, which was very tedious.

I then contacted admin a couple of times to report the spyware issues here, again no reply?

I'm honestly not blaming the Moderators, as i believe they don't have any server privileges, only regular moderation control but, i would expect somebody to be doing more on the Admin side of things?
