    Default Angling intelligence rods ?

I have a pair and used them a few times.lovely rods too.

Trouble is..I have had them and never seen any more on the bank ! I bought them off my mate but they haven't got any markings on them like test curves etc..must AI on the butt caps.

Anyone know anything about these rods.I would say they are 3lb ish but could well be lighter.
I'm having a good sort out/ clear out and was wondering also on a roiugh price ifi was to sell ?

That makes sense then...i have the mk 2s with the rod going straight through the reel seat and ending up with that little round bit on the end with AI on it.
Only thing that lets them down imo...if it was a cork or foam handle be much better.lovely rods all the same but thats the only thing i dont like about em.

mk 1's came in 2.75 or 3.25 not sure about mk 2's. Had mk 1's in 3.25 and they were lovely rods. Regret getting rid.

I put full duplons on mine. Very easy retro fit as the butt section is almost parallel . I used 20 inch parallel duplon from guides n blanks.

I don't think they get big money, saw plenty of sets of 3 around 120/140 a year or so ago

Cheers tt. I suppose its a lot of hassle to get the butt cap off ? Also did you take the reel seat off.i suppose you did and how easy was that ? Do you have to have any special tools for doing any work on rods ?
    Sorry for the questions .!

Love using them so if i could keep em and do em up then it could be worth sorting the butts out.

to be honest I just hacksawed the butt cap off as I didn't think the butt being 1 inch shorter would make much difference ( it didn't ). I didn't take the seats off ( I had mk 1's with Fuji dps seats.) Then just a case of pushing the duplon up and glueing in place and putting some normal butt caps in place and glueing.

I have a set of three and they are the Q-12's 3.25lb TC. It's inscribed underneath the rod in front of the reel seat.

They feel more like 2.5lb/2.75lb TC when you play the fish. I'm not a massive long range angler, but these will still put out a long way if needs must. They also look a lot more expensive than what they really are.
