    Default Bait choice

Back on an old water which I did well on years ago.

In terms of bait would you go for option 1 or 2 ?

Option 1: Roll my own original recipe that gave me success on the venue years ago. Rolling time and mess currently not an issue.

Option 2: Buy bait ready rolled in either frozen or shelf life that alot of the regulars are using on the venue and having fish on.

Price wise, next to nothing in it, just interested to here folks views on here.

Personally I'd buy a decent shelflife bait, but not one that others are known to be using.
I don't have time to roll bait now, have learnt to trust decent shelfies over freezer baits and I'd rather do my own thing rather than follow others.

Roll a enough of option 1 to give it a good test and if results are favourable keep on it.
Old enough to retire. poor enough not to.

Use a coin have confidence and go and catch um. A decent flavour and 50/50 will do as well from the off a decent base mix alone long term will see you well.

Couldn't you get someone to roll your own recipe for you? Sounds like you've got confidence in that bait so personally I'd stick with it.

Thanks for all your input folks.

I am going with option 1 and a delivery of ingredients will arrive today.

Just have to wait a few days until I am home alone so I can get rolling.

The Mrs was into smoothie making a while back so her 150 quid blender is going to come in handy mixing the shrimp block and eggs.
