Hopefully they'll have moved into the Estuary by then. Talking to my mate who runs a charter out of Wallasea at the weekend and he has been offering his clients cancellations as the cod don't seem to be off the Essex coast yet...most of the local charters are struggling.

Worth checking what's occurring with the local skippers before wasting your hard earned.
If it flies, floats or F***s, its cheaper to rent than buy

Went Out on vanishing point 2 with john rawle mid November he sold his boat but wanted to honour the booking so borrowed this boat
    Loads of whiting caught
1 doggie and 1 small ray caught.

    Nice boat.
I think If you are going out with terry he also runs a shooting thing on his boat when its dire
Ask him to bring the shotguns lol

A mate and I fished Wednesday night and it sure did get chilly.
One of my mates alarms burst into action just before eight o'clock Thursday morning and he was attached to an angry carp under a sheet of ice!

Yep..lovely boat...especially sat inside the cabin when its freezing ! Seen videos of terry batt shooting..lol
We had a few doggies..but I think we had more thornies than anything else ! I had 4 and was a good day despite no sign of cod.
Still...give it a go for the cod.gonna take me uptiders this time and have a decent go for them.

Went Friday to today. Had to ring round almost every day ticket within a 1 hour radius of tunbridge wells to find a fishable lake.

At one point though we were in t shirts and we caught a few even though half the lake still had ice covering it.

I envy the lads who were arriving today for 3 nights. Couldn't have timed their trip any better.
Pink reel seats on your rods?!
