Take a look at the tfg 10ft compact carp, lovely slim bank and proper through action rods, often available for under 35

Does all I want in a margin rod. I also have SPD marginalizers that I use when I need to cast further

Thought i'd bump this up, especially for the 3lbtc Nash Scope owners.

I cannot find anywhere local to have a good look at the mo but i'm finding i've got more questions than answers:

Are there still mkI and mkII versions around or have the mkI's now gone - if both still about, how do I tell the difference and what's the improvement with the mkII?

I did speak to one tackle shop and they said that the butt isn't duplon, it's actually jap shrink wrap, but he wasn't really clear - what's the score there folks?

What's the best price out there at the mo for the mkII's?

    Many thanks all

The handle is shrink tube or cork. Not duplon, the mk 2s have black reel seat collars, mk1 has silver. Also mk 1 had a different joint arrangement I think, and where prone to breaking.
