Exactly, most could go more, but it's easier to trot out the above, than push the boundaries a little bit, I'm the same now, no time

    To quote Mr Lane-

Nothing is more precious than time. You can't buy it, and you have to sacrifice to make it.
It's amazing how much time you can make if you try - but I don't know any other sprt where people are so jealous of others who are dedicated enough to make the time to be successful.

casting unwarranted aspersions and calling the owner a thief is what I said, because people on this forum openly state the fish are from a big public water nearby.
This is an aspersion that they were stolen from the big pubic water nearby [balaton] and as the owner of the lake stocked it-- well you get the meaning.
Sorry if I am wrong, but thats my take on it.

No, the aspersions were that the fish was stocked to artificial levels from other lakes.

You seem to be the one assuming they were stolen, not anyone else.

Isn't this just the same as any other European artificial overstocked commercial water that most people head off to for a bit of Hauling ? Most the fish in Rainbow are from Lac Brive but that seems to be offay with the masses !! As for Fish Thefts I doubt there's many french commercially run waters that don't contain a few dubiously acquired fish !!

Fish do get netted and sold don't they? Drained down, relocated etc.

Not from Balaton [or other public waters near by], anglers are allowed to catch and kill fish for the table, but not to remove live fish.
As to the idea of a drain down on the biggest lake in central europe, that makes me smile.

Who mentioned draining a specific lake?

The only person on this thread that is making wild assumptions is you.

Before you spout on about me making assumptions, lets get the facts shall we.
One the thread is about Euro Aqua
Two the Public lake close by is Balaton.
    We were both speaking about the same place in this thread and this is a direct quote from your post;
    "Drained down".
Finaly, have you seen Euro Aqua or Balaton? I have, Im just back.
As stated earlier its up to each person to make their own mind up on whether they wish to fish such places, I for one would not, but I am not going to call the owner or the anglers that go there.
However one thing for certain, if you could get on there for 500 a week, there would be a 20 year waiting list.
My final post on the subject.

Yes I saw this too Tad. Always makes me chuckle to see carpers featured on mainstream telly. The wife shouted for me to come in to see the footage. Don't we look stupid holding up these fish for the cameras!

Each to their own I suppose....

It is what it is....a place filled with over fed carp....there's no adventure in it for me this place...just big...fat....plain carp fed daily from a boat.
No denying they're big.....they will probably reach 120lb.

    Keep it
thank your mother for the rabbits...
