I was told people were caught moving fish.......that was a crock of crap too!

    Mate,

Mr G is a chancer, Mr M...does as he pleases....and Mr O' is just plain gullible.

Now if your comfortable believing things told to you by them, happy days, but if they walked into a room wet and said it was raining....I'd go look!

Gazza, fish off an island, wear an eye patch and shout at the top of your voice morning, noon and night, "You'll never take me alive you yellow livered land lovers"
    The common loves it.

Is he likely to be hanging around the island in Alsatian bay this time of year?
Just tried to blow up the fish hunter....it's bosted!
Any of you guys know if there's a toys r us near by?
Or would 1of you guys be nice enough to lend me and the lads a dinghy?
Failing that we will have to blow up bobby the inflatable banana...

There is a Toys r us in Reading, but it's near the prison so you may need to watch out for escaped convicts who'll want to take you hostage.
If it were me I'd pop over to the ski club and steal several of their boats for you and your mates.

As for the big boy hanging out around island in Alsatian bay, if you shout loud enough it won't matter which island you choose! But, if you have no luck with him after a few days, you should try whacking the water with a scaffold plank for 10 minutes, and then continue the shouting.

    Best of luck.

That's it apples, you've gone and done it now, all the lads on the bank will be clunking away all day and night now they know it's the tactic that catches the big un.

I don't know about fish being moved, but I have heard that a number of fish have turned up dead recently after being whacked on the head by idiots thrashing the water to a foam with scaffold planks.

    Where did you fish from???

I wasn't aware there was Otter activity in this area that looked like it might cause a problem. There have been otters in the Kennet for years but the general consensus seemed to be that they had been around for a long time and lived in balance with the surrounding area unlike other areas with higher populations due to the released otters.

If there are genuine sightings then I have to agree that is very bad news

There was a dead part eaten fish on Burghfield found over last christmas, with claw marks along the flanks.
It was when the floods were at their worst....

Genuine sightings as recent as a couple of weeks ago. By myself, SS, and SL amongst others.

In winter on Burghfield, the Ninja returns, fully armed and stealthier than any otter.....
