unless the new owners police it (cant really see this happening) and only 7 swims being on the syndy then theres only one conclusion . only 7 swims will be bailiffed .

Agree Stiggy - it will turn in for a free for all.

What a shame for such a cracking water which in my opinion is one of the best in the country for the diversity of angling it gives - truly is a magical place with a cracking head of fish, a dream come true for the mobile angler that likes to drop in and out of swims on short overnighters or stalking days...

It ain't rocket science to see where the end state for the lake or parts of it will be going......

Ah well - life goes on .....could luck to those that still angle down there in pursuit of those magnificent fish.

    Be lucky,

I've picked up the phone and spoken to advanced angling.. Who ever it was I spoke to on the phone seemed to know less of what was happening than I did...
They were very sketchy with details, put my name down as an enquiry, they said they would hope to have more info in March when the current ticket runs out, and actually get more fishing in 2014.
I suspect they will be to late by then, and as im sure kim2 knows, darth vader and his death star was capable of blowing up whole planets... but the last time I posted some up to date info on a burghfield thread, the whole thing was pulled... Lol

Just for the record, "hand picked syndicate" doesnt mean no "noddies/numpties". That means its not what you know, its who you know.

From what I hear, we are not going to know what is happening until March at the earliest as no agreements have been reached yet betweem JM annd AA.

Any news yet on Burghfield, is it still being fished on the old Cemex ticket until it runs out.

Really fancy a crack on Burghfield this season but, trying to get info on the fishing is like pulling teeth. Not interested on the Rawlings bank syndicate, I want to be able to move around the pit.

    Any info would be appreciated.

I Believe JM has the lake and AA are trying to get a lease for the fishing rights. There is no agreement in place as yet and the CEMEX ticket runs out this week. I have been told there is a meeting between the two later this month so it looks like no fishing until something is sorted unless someone else know different?

Hi Gary, starting to feel like my left are has been cut off, had a lovely 29lb 12oz mirror of Moulds Point on the last week of the season and want to get back down. Any news yet or chance of day tickets until things are sorted?

    Still no news.......?

It pi**es me off when I read an article in the angling press by a full time angler say he has found an area that no one else paid much attention to and hadent seen a line so he concentrated his efforts there to get great reults.......blah, blah blah....... thats because hes fishing in the "out of bounds" area where us mere mortals were never allowed to.......yet again one rule for normal every day anglers trying to fish around work and a different for those in the gang!!!!!!!
