I have both types the softer style would be fine in the bag not that I use them like that - I keep the softer ones for at home ive ventured out the house in them in the past to put rubbish out as an example and they do take on water from underneath so I recommend you keep them for the bivvy and no more, the ones with the harder sole are better for fishing and will be fine if you venture outside in them and they have grip
Ive actually got 3 pairs of the harder soles ones and think there brilliant so buy with confidence - Ill get them again when they are on offer and put them up as there that good
