2006 was my best year ever carp wise upping my pb to 36 02, catching a 30+mirror and common in a 24 hour session and catching my first winter 30. not bad for a for a lad from s****horpe where the bigguns are rarer than an honest politician.

what about you lads hows the last year been for you?

The worst fishing year that I have ever had 60 nights for 1 fish hey it can't get much worse for 2007 (touch wood)

A good year in all and amongst my best but not close to as good as 2005 was for me. Maybe 2007 will be beter still!!!

Good luck to all for 2007

virtually no carping this year.dont really have the time anymore, taking littleun out all the time.switched to virtually all the other species and had it right off.had the best season for years despite only going out for 1 day a fortnight and evenings after work.a few new pbs.
well happy.

My season was ok, not brilliant on numbers, but ok on quality, and that is what matters I guess.

Upped my pb slightly, and caught my target fish. Now a little lost of where to go next though?

Went fishing in France for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed the trip (Thanks Muckles & Sim0n http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)

Trying to find a new home for this season, and we are already sorting out our assault on the french rivers for this year.

2006 season was a good season, new water for me well not fished it for 5 years so was good to get back to a water I had once fished http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif
New pb and met some good carpers completely changed me kit since sept so can't wait to get back and try these new rods and reels out overall would have liked more time on the bank but with work and that just don't seem to happen maybe 2007 will see a better balance between work and fishing. Also got more into this web site and made new friends on here and brought some stunning gear again from people of this site so a big thank you to those of ya who have traded with THE REAPER

Not a lot of time at all last year BUT because itwas the first time in 11 years I hadnt fished all summer and winter it made me realise just how lucky we are as anglers to get amongst nature and respect our precious quarry. I really enjoyed my fishing in 2006 and managed to catch the biggest known fish in one of the lakes I fished...well please I can tell you http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

As I tend to do things in seasons instead of years, so far my second best season ever in terms of quality of fish due to a good haul in December.
Same old plans for next year though, even though I was hoping for a change of scenery, there are still a few fish to catch in the syndicate lake I'm currently angling on, plus a 20+ from two other waters (one being Cemex Chig) also an old aquaintance is calling for a rematch.
