I work not far from Highbridge and pass it every day.
I noticed last week a guy loading his car up with carp gear http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
He had obviously been fishing the lake.

Is the lake open to fishing (doubt it) or was he doing a bit of guesting.
Any info would be appreciated.

Reckon he was guesting. I've peered through the fence a few times http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif and spotted a couple of noddies in the bench swim and a bit of bbq litter by the first channel, bent tent peg included.

Waiting for landfill isn't it? Shame...good childhood memories of that place.

Ive had many a great session on this wonderful little lake, tis such a shame Cemex did not allow EADAC to renew the lease. A real gem of a water with some lovely looking fish.
RIP highbridge

If it was a MG ZS it wasn't me http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It was not a case of not renewing the lease - the water was sold and is due for development.

The majority of fish were removed and transferred to our Chertsey fishery.

Sorry ian, I apologise

I therefore would have liked the new owners to rekindle this little lake, (start of violins) but without the stock i suppose the memories would be no more(end of violins).

I have noticed over the past few days whilst driving to work
someone is doing a bit of work to the layby and around the lake.

Anyone know anything ???
