01-03-2005, 10:36
yeah i know, we had high hope due to those catches but the temp dropped as soon as we got to the lake. typical!

01-03-2005, 11:03
Well, there were 2 runs, but how they were 'missed' I don't know. Nice water, although the birds were extremely active I must say!

01-03-2005, 18:51
Well, hopefully you may experience some better weather, think we got the worst of it, but still enjoyable either way. Be careful with yer bait though, the birds take a hefty liking to it wherever they can dive and reach it!

04-03-2005, 18:58
Back home after one night. The lake froze over last night & was impossible to fish by morning. Never seen the bailiff.

oh - and then it snowed! http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

04-03-2005, 19:37
Join the club dude - glad I had my 5 season sack with me!

How did you get on with the birds?

05-03-2005, 20:47
Coots were a nightmare & trying to get boilies out without the seagulls getting 'em was impossible. Still, as it froze over it doesn't really matter I suppose.

Never mind - put it down to experience.

06-03-2005, 12:33
All you can do I spose - what's the name of the lake behind pole position - is that the car park lake?

06-03-2005, 14:40
Yes I think it's Car Park next door & then Split Lake furter up. The whole lot froze. http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

06-03-2005, 20:19
why use boilies that big? 10-12mms i thought would of been enough or even just pva bags. in conditions like that it must be worth trying to put 1 carp on the bank at a time

07-03-2005, 11:32
eh? what are you refering to?

07-03-2005, 12:07
