Hi

May i suggest that you take a huge leap of faith and fish with Hutchies monster crab in the summer, then change over to his chocolate malt for the winter. They may have been two of the greatest flavours in carp fishing, but you tell me that they still don't catch carp !!!

cheers stew

ps don't tell any one !

Probably have to be garlic and liver - both proven fish attractors/feed stimulators both within the ornamental and angling circles.

The following have all stood the test of time, and being natural, it is hard to over do them in a bait, [ in no particular order ]

Green Lipped Mussel Powder,
Minamino,
robin red,
liver, liquid or powder,
corn steep liquor, liquid or powder,
n - butyric acid [ try 12 drops / lb as a starter ]
yeast powder, [ never used the liquid, so cant pass comment ]
casein, to see carp react to an emulsion of casein, is a real eye opener, as it has virtually no smell, [ to us ]
and not forgetting
######### [ sorry cant tell you that one http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif ]
hope this helps
cheers

I used to use garlic oil at quite high levels http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif when I fished on Burghfield, people would walk down the path in the summer and could smell my bait as they passed the bivvy, http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif it got so bad that I used to have the oil in its dropper bottle, in it's plastic container, and then in a sealed bucket outside, until my neighbours called the gas board thinking there was a leak http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif that was it time to give up on it http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I caught well using it although I had no friends to fish with at the end, and no one would stay at my bivvy for tea!! may have to go back on it http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif
