Chaps

A mate of mine is working down south this week and has taken his gear to do an overnighter or two on Swan Valley. If anyone has any up to date info (or general info) about the venue at this time of year can you PM me so I can pass it on to him.I think he's doing tonight.

Thanks in advance.

Not that you are biased or anything Dave http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Have to agree though, although dont know if Swan has an average larger fish size than Sandy.

Sandy / South are both much better value for money.

Not disputing that Dave http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Swan has it's fair share of biggies as well.

Just trying to give a balanced viewpoint. I would still choose Sandy.

Less people, smaller lake, 40lb common, big head of 30's, banks that you don't have to bring a mallet to get pegs in. Swans not too bad......

I think Swan is a lovely lake and having fished both I can say that although its more expensive, it IS definately less busy and you have a far better chance of catching a 20 plus.

Swan Valley is a dump i could underarm flick my baits to da far margin.Plus gets pakcked with noddies

So what Dazzer is saying is that its small (is that a bad thing?) and it attracts beginners (again, problem?) And as far as attracting noddies then I guess Rob Maylin is a noddy? And what about Bernie Loftus?

I fished it a few times, as I said. My honest opinion is it was a nice lake, clear water and a good opportunity to try out a lot of different methods...
