Cheers Dave,

Went down and ha d agood scout about managed a 18lb 12oz mirror on thurs night from peg 15 and then stalked a stunning 21lb 12oz common this morning from peg 17, they were getting right in those snags in the margins.

This 'boken back' common looks familiar.....
Catch report (http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/show.phtml?ID=763)

..If it proves to be the same fish.....it's put on 11lb odd in two years from when I caught it...

that'd make it one of the fastest growers in the lake - average weight gain on most of the fish is between 3 and 4lb a year....

Tis true....and by no means do I aim to belittle the capture or question it in any way..(in case some think so!).....

The Sandhurst fish have some of the most impressive growth rates I've personally seen and experienced....excellent stuff!
The commons that were averaging 16lb - 18lb ,(I thought my scales were jamming on 16lb something! http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif), were averaging mid twenty in no time....

This water is going to be an awesome day ticket...

I wonder what impact the weed treatment will have.....?

Sounds great, could be a super water in the future with great big monster carp. All done the right way (For a change) unlike the instant super waters with monsters being stocked at the start. Well done RMC Angling. http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif Credit were it's due.

ssshhhhhhh http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif.... don't tell everyone.....

maybe 15 30s next winter is our current guesstimate....and if anyone thinks sandhurst won't do a 40 in the next 3 years....well....i think you may be wrong....

a few big hits in the last couple of weeks - can't possibly reveal too much detail at the moment as it will be written up at length in the future - but one bailiff took 13 fish in 72 hours, another took 11 in 48 hours (with 10 of those in a 24 hour period - and 6 of the 11 fish 20+), and most recently a dayticket angler this week has had 17 fish off the island in just over 3 days....

Funky, glad to hear of the hits from Sandy recently as I will be visiting there for the first time next week Weds - Friday. Are any any specific areas this time of year or is it a case of walk, watch & wait for them to show themselves? Any advice would be gratefully received.
Regards
