There's Tyler Hill, Longshaw and Lavender Farm around Canterbury. I've not fished any of them so can't really help in that respect, Blean Angling or Absolute Tackle would be able to help with info I should imagine. Cottington is Deal way and might be within travelling distance for you.

If new to Canterbury then i would avoid Day Tickets completely and spend 100 or so to join CDAA (Fordwich) or from 100 upwards MKF (Westbere) .... they both have a website
