Guested that place a good few years ago, used to get rumbled by some local wearing a English Nature jumper every now and again. A lot of fish were moved to Somerley I think? Caught a few nice commons to mid thirties in the few trips I did.

would be nice if ther was still some of the original fish in ther i did do a little research on it but all i got was fish had been removed
spose the only way of finding out is to fish it.:)

i hear thers some lumps in somerley maybe they did come from mockbegger.

i was thinking of joining christchurch over ringwood purley because of numbers
anyone no what its like on the lakes do they get rammed?

im lucky to do alot of my fishing during the week as i work shift work 3 day a week.

thanks for the quick reply neil/noddied

had a walk around the place about 5-6 years ago and saw a few decent sized commons drifting about , aparently nothing of any real size left in there these days , but there could well be a surprise or two if anyones willing to put the time in .....

A fishery up near me stocked some fish they alleged came from this place. They were all abut small and had battered mouths and fins.

First four pics are fish, next tow the documentation showing where they came from.

The fishery said they came from quiet sports and were the fish from mockbeggar as seen on the video below.

That's very interesting, I fished Mockbeggar circa 2005/2006 I think. None of the commons I caught looked like that! Never saw a mirror...

Could it of been stocked and held those mutants for a few years before moving them on? Strange one that's for sure.
