i have recently inherited one of these with a couple of different lenses etc and just wondered if any of you chaps used them for youre trophy shots? it has been sat for a while so the battery is knackered so i have ordered a couple of new ones ready to start trying to figure it out

wouldnt mind seeing a couple of photos of the quality i can expect from one of these,i know there a few years old now but the spec still seems impressive

any add on reccomened?

any help muchos appreciated im a newbie to the slr game

The canon 10d was a very good camera in its day so there is no reason why it wont produce some great shots now.

I believe it is a 6.3 mega pixel camera which is kind of low on pixels by todays standards but as long as you dont want to print anything bigger than 10 x 8 then that shouldnt be a problem.

What lenses did you get with in Jamie?

Go to flickr and search there for the Canon 10D groups - there are normally loads of "pools" of photos.

It's a bit difficult for folk to put up pics taken with the 10D unless they are also using the same lenses as you have :)

i have a 55-200mm and a 28-80mm im hoping the latter will be ok for trophy shots,i havent had a go yet as im still waiting for the new battery to arrive

There are a few 28-80 lenses as you scroll down.

If you select the correct one and click on the link it will show you photos taken with that lens. If you then click on a pic it will take you to the actual pic and a lot of the time it will also show the camera it's taken with.
