I thought that there may be a place on the forum for fish to be posted that are not up to the Great looking carp list but have merit in their own right. They are not neccesarily good lookers (lets be honest, they don't all have to be lookers). I'll start the ball rolling with a few of what i would call 'character fish'. It will be interesting to view the diversity within the species. :)

I don't know about the rest of you but one of the reasons carp fishing has held my attention for so long is the variety of the fish we catch, obviously apart from damaged fish (over time this can be acceptable too as in the case of the aforementioned - Parrot) the list is neverending as to the shapes, sizes, colours & scaling patterns of carp... In fact, every one is different.

No wonder at all that carp fishing is so popular!

Don't know mate been there since 99, how long you going back. Heard about it, would have been a lovely addition to my album;)

Mate of mine you might know him (Darren Pye) has pics of all the fish as doubles and low 20s all on slides. Got one of Moonscale at 14lb.

You got any pics of Zig Zag would love to see one of that, saw it in the water but never seen a pic or on the bank

Delinquent by name, Delinquent by nature, the most mad carp ive ever come across... Gets its name by showing in the most mental of ways, hard to even describe... Often 4-5 times in 4-5 secs, almost like its having a fit...

i have caught humpy three times
the first time he was swimming around in circles, i thought he was tethered so i stripped of down to my kaks (febuary) and went in to free him, only to find he was'nt tethered :confused: just happily swimming round and round:lol:
