Good camera, not a great kit lense but its ok.

Buy now, its just been discontinued, could be some bargains about

Nothing wrong with the kit lense Mr B... it's how you use it that counts ;)

I've got one and it's a great bit of kit. Takes some decent, sharp pics once you get used to how to use a DSLR :)

might be a good idea to buy the body only then put a second hand canon ef 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 ll usm ultrasonic lens on it there always on flea bay,i did this pukka peice of kit

be carfull when using the flash at nights some times it bounces off of the fish so use a diffuser on your flash

I have heard of cross type sensor points but what is a f2.8 version?

if you can wait and can afford it i would go for the 550d the spec is a lot higher
