All frozen up this morning, with about 70% of the Met and Bowers under ice.

Same here. I hate that train journey, passing all those pits and West Warwick while I'm in a suit heading towards the city. And I hate the fact that there is never anyone on Bowers and I can't even get my name on the waiting list.

Best of luck mate. Would love a go at catching one of the many crocs or big brownies in there.

Bowers never going to be that busy, 50 man syndi, but generally the more popular swims are tucked away in the trees out of sight from the train, wish I still had a ticket myself sometimes.

Turned down a ticket about 5 years ago? Me and a mate just went on the list after a walk round years ago, we were looking for somewhere to travel to from up norf. Is it any good these days then?

One thing about that lake I remember was it had the best swim I had ever seen on a lake, walkway into a big platform surrounded by pads.

Will be frozen up here this weekend I reckon brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good water for 30 common, good mix of fish but have lost a few biggies over the years, best feature is the fact is never busy, most have been members a while and just keep the ticket, very small annual turnover in tickets:thumbs:

ive had a few walks around there and it is always empty only ever seen 1 angler over there. As for the met im a member myself and its always rammed with most swims taken at the weekend and week days. thats in the warmer months tho. people are scarce now over there

Hardly suprising hank, it's been frozen more than it's been liquid this year!
