I think it was the summer pits, set of 4 lakes on the rdaa website, in a square all about 2 acres in size they said.

I fished them all through the 90's. Not been there for a while, but I believe the stock has been moved around between lakes

I heard the other day, that the cottage lane pits had lost a lot of fish in the last few weeks, maybe all of them??? not had this confirmed.

There is a huge gulf between cottage lane and pingewood, one is a stock pond full of fish (or was), the other is a very busy pit that is rock hard and rammed most of the year.

as far as we (RDAA) can tell, there were several fish that died in cottage lane, though now it has thawed i do not know an up to date figure.

As far as I am aware, Only pit 2 suffered a few losses due to low D02 levels throughout the freezer up.

It is pretty packed at weekends sometimes. Mainly through the spring.

One issue with an attempted theft summer 08 though nothing was taken.

No other issues since I have been involved there. (that's not a 'big up' to me, but more to do with the fact I can only speak from experience during that time, as before that I cannot personally vouch for).

If that is a worry, there is a locked pallasade parking enclosed ( due to the work of lyndon and others).

Fished the water from 1997 to 2001 and again 2002-2003 never saw or heard of any theft or attempts. Very special venue which will always hold good memories for me not just of the fish and fishing but also of planting trees and reeds and seeing now the fruits of that work enjoyed but others and looked after by a good bunch of lads.
