I need a couple of slave/sync flash units, umbrellas and stands. I can't justify loads of money on these. and was looking for some suggestions.

Any ideas?

is something like this going to be any cop?

60W or GN30 really isn't very powerful. If you've got reasonable fast lenses and are OK shooting wide open, they'll probably do, but you won't be able to have much working distance from the flash to subject. Softboxes and brollies reduce the output too as they spread the light out.

Looks alright for the money, should get some light out but not the most powerful.. I have used interfit for the cheaper gear and it worked well for the money, have a look here:

Looks alright for the money, should get some light out but not the most powerful.. I have used interfit for the cheaper gear and it worked well for the money, have a look here:

do you know if that will that fire my speedlight units too?

The canon transmitter is twice the price
