The fish in is on lakes 7 & 8. Paddle, the common lives in lake 5/6 which will not be fishable. 7 & 8 have some fantastic fish in, so don't feel too disappointed!

Andy has done a great job over ther and they are just how a good carp fishery should be imo. Do get on this one if you can guys. Are there still any places, or can we come along to help out or for the social?

Woolpack Fishery & Fish-In.

Fri 24th, Sat 25th & Sun 26th September 2010.

The lakes have been fished since the early 80s. The carp are mostly old classic dark scaly mirrors and just about every variation of common.

Lake 7: Around 9 acres, and home to about 60 or 70 fish. There are around a dozen different 30s caught up to 38-8, some of which have not been caught for several years. It is possible that a couple of these are now over 40lbs. There are very few carp under 25lbs in the lake. There are tench and large bream.

Lake 8: Around 10 acres, and home to an estimated 70+ carp which are mostly over 20lbs. The biggest fish caught so far in 2010 was 34-12. There are several large uncaught carp.

There are large numbers of tench averaging around 7lbs and bream averaging around 7 to 8lbs.

There are also pike, roach, rudd, eels and perch in both lakes.

There are only 12 swims on each lake. ( so be warned you need to be quick)

A Self Addressed Envelope must be sent.

Cost is 50........including a BBQ on Sat afternoon. Please state your first choice of Lake.

All cheques payable to "Stoney & Friends"

Come along chaps, this will be a great weekend and a chance to fish a cracking couple of lakes.

As an added incentive, I unfortunately can't make it, so you won't have to put up with me :)

How did it go lads?

Paul_the_Bailiff

No fish from either lake up until I left at 10am on Sunday. I don't know about after that as a couple stayed on until later. Lovely lake and a nice fishery.

Highlights of the weekend were Stoney's speed trials at the BBQ on Saturday and 'Tesco' John taking a close up and personal investigation of the features in his swim's margin on Friday morning.

Thanks to Allan, Tug and Andy for arranging the weekend.

Lets all go to Tesco's where Johnny buys his best clothes. :)

Just had the fall story of the little tumble John had into the lake. Mind you, he has a lovely brusie to show for it.

Stoney, I heard that with the ground you covered to hit "The run", you should enter the London Olympics, you'll give Bolt a run for his money in the 100m sprint.

Sounds like a good time was had by all :)

Nice weekend, lovely venue thanks to Andy, Allan and Tug for the invite etc.

Stoney that was a mad dash for the rods mate....Pmsl

And Tesco Johnny's tumble was funny....his new outfit puts Diem to shame we should all now but blue jogging pants and Van copycat trainers....its the new era for bankside clothing.

Definitely a venue I'd go back to.
