Whats the longest time known for someone to go fishless on there?Has anyone gone on season after season with no joy at all????? http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif

LOL - a slight insight for you my fine fellow..

Lots and lots of anglers go long periods (seasons) without catching anything - the lake is a bitch - its gonna gobble Raf and Plums up next year - give them a quick Mastication, salivate slightly - and then propel at high speed in a mucus ball out the Yateley carpark!!!! LOL

Not gonna name names but theres only a finite number of fish - combined with th epressure - not everyone will catch - even if everyone was doin it right!!!! (incidentally - just the way we like it!)

Do newcomers to the CP ever have surprisingly good seasons ?
Not conditioned to accepted folklore and all that.

Used to always happen - new boy knocks out heather or something - rarer these days to be homest - some anglers haul (if mid weekers normally)

Look at Mr Banks captures last year.........it happens....

Lewis, i am under no illusion that the CP is difficult and you are more or less against all the odds being a weekend angler, but they ARE catchable, just like any fish is catchable, just got to press the right button and find what they want rather than what you want to give them.....

Lewis
09-12-2002, 12:07
You love spouting that one dont ya RAF!!! LOL http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Cant wait for you to say that when all the fish are up the other end - every swim has gone - and you've got in the last gap..... <font color="pink">' just press the right button' </font color> - oooooooooooohhhh! http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Go on my son!!!! [**punching both fist s into air in OTT American wahoo manner**] LOL

RAFLEE

So they dont move about then...in the dark.....hmmmm

Not at (majority - not all..) weekends mate.......take up residence and dont move out of the weesbed till sunday afternoon when they know its quieter....

the main difficulty of the car park, as i see it from an observer point of view, is being given the opportunity to press the right button. most anglers there seem contented if they can make good when their opportunity arises and manage one fish a season, and many very good anglers don't manage that. 9 lumps, 50 man syndicate, most come out say 2 times in a season and some not at all, e.g. big o this year. statistically about 1 in 5 syndicate members have caught this year. the fish are the same as any other carp and can be fooled but getting the chance to fool them is another matter. on the bright side it can come good though, takes wise top full timer steve pag must have had around nine or so takes this season, inc. commons, i know fudgies had 5 takes, 2 were commons, which is probably the most for a weekend angler this year.

RAFLEE
09-12-2002, 12:20
I'll be there waiting when they do move out lewis...

Agree Flynn, just getting the chance to push that button is half the battle, but the chance will come with perserverance and down right strong willingness....one chance a season is all you need....just one...

walker
09-12-2002, 13:28
For that split second I thought one of the CP chunks was on the bank, seeing a new thread under the "syndicate venues". But Oooh No, not a chance, The CP is living up to its reputation, with fudgie banking the last fish back in early Nov.

P.S The ratio will be allot less than 1 in 5, if you count the fact that the likes of Steve Pag. has bagged 3 or 4.

I have blanked for a year and three month.
When i started carping i caught most fish to 27.5lbs in a year.
The nasty thing was as soon as i caught the 27.5lbs i never caught another fish for 1 year and 3 mounths. I was going out evey weekend for 24 hours, and not a thing. It had nothing to do with presintation or anything like that as i was fishing one time on a very easy water, with 2 other mate. I was in the middle and using the same method as my mates as the fish just loved it. Yes i blanked, as from that poing I realised that it doesnt matter what or where your bait is, if luck is on your side youll catch. It wasnt on my side for over a year http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Also I went to welford pool, and fished the swill in the channel between the two lakes. I was also told that no one had ever blankd from there. Yep i blanked, on a 48 hour sesh aswell http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif
